This marks the end of the gag-a-day...

...which marks a new beginning of course.

This comic is, and always was, intended to be a story-driven comic. I hope that you enjoyed the preamble of the gag comics that came before this.

The main reasons for having the gag-a-day strips are twofold. Firstly, I wanted to "get back in the groove" of making webcomics. It takes a fair amount of discipline to do this, especially with a daily update schedule. I've lost track of the number of webcomics that I've read which slowly run out of steam or just stop altogether for no discernable reason. (Update: And now mine has joined them ... sigh)

Obviously the authors have very good reasons, usually because they either found a new hobby or their circumstances changed. Hopefully, I'll be able to carry this comic all the way to it's conclusion. And that's the good news! This comic already has it's story laid out (at least the main parts) so you can rest assured that this comic won't just drag on forever.

The second reason was that I wanted to create a buffer right from the get-go. I created a bunch of strips in a very basic and easy-to-make fashion so that I had those comics waiting to be added to the site before I started the main comic. It sort of worked, and at time of writing, I have an eight day buffer, which is more than some webcomic authors can say. =D

We'll see how I go. Hopefully you'll enjoy reading this comic as much as I'll enjoy making it.

Um ... and hopefully I'll enjoy making it...

FatCat: Ooohh... I shouldn't have eaten all that junkfood... FatCat: Oh man, I really hope I'm hallucinating... Junk Food: sings and does a happy dance to entice you to eat it...
Either I'm really trippy or just weird, but I see this kind of stuff after a junkfood binge. Who needs drugs when you can O.D. on sugar?
