I'm a lot happier with how this strip turned out.

The first and last panels show the beast, with low lighting. The angled lines in the last panel are it's spikes or fins on its back. The second panel has a green tint because IT'S RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR!!!

And for those squinting, in the middle panel the speech bubbles say "Ha ha ha" and "yeah, and I said". In other words, it doesn't mean anything.
