The Cats
I feel that eveyone who has photography as a hobby and also has a pet will inevitably end up with hundreds pf photos of their pets. Cats usually end up getting photographed more as their tendency to sleep most of the day makes them very good subjects to practice on.
Dogs tend to want to play rather than be photographed, but they are also easier to train.
This is one of our cats, Bobito. We've had him since birth and perched up there on the fence, he feels like he's the king of the world.
I like the play of light and shadows in this photo.
This is our other cat, Amber. She showed up at our place one day and never left. She is very much a street cat and does not like to be in the house. She had kittens and Bobito is on of them.
Bobito, being curious about just what I'm doing and what this business with the flash is...
Amber again, looking radiant with the setting sun.
He looks so cute when he's asking to be let out. Does not do a proper "meow" like most cats, but more timid and quiet so we don't always hear him.
Oh no, the cat is possessed! Ha ha, I like how this photo came out. It's just a difference of the angle that gave the cat different coloured eyes. Might have to keep a vial of holy water on hand just in case though...
This is Bobito on the kitchen window sill. We had green mesh hanging up to stop the summer sun. I like this shot with the morning sun coming up behind the cat giving him a nice silhouette. I like that although he's yawning, it looks like he's roaring!
Christmas morning; the cat loves playing with the wrapping paper. In this case, one of the paper bags which he decided to climb into.
I really like how this shot turned out. Cat was sitting on the fence, setting sun in the background. For a few minutes, got these really strong beams which looked fantastic.
Didn't quite get the cat in proper focus, but considering that I was shooting handheld in low light, I like how the result came out.
