The Early Days
These are some of the better photos from my early days with the dSLR. I bought a second hand Canon 300d which has been very good to me. Got some really interesting shots. Looking back now (Nov '10) it seems like it has not been that long, though one of the photos I took on the first day is from the 23rd of March '09 - so I've had this camera about a year and a half.
This is about the first photo that I took with this camera. Conveniently, I took a photo of a security screen which shows the date (and time).
This is what our back area used to look like. Yes, we cleaned it up, it was just too messy in this state.
An early shot of a sunset - not that you can see the sun. Does it still count?
I like the effect of the glass shower screen. The curves and ripples with the light behind them make a nice effect.
I like this shot. The morning light coming through the vertical blinds makes for a nice play of light and shadow across the room.
Hmm, there seems to be a pattern of me taking photos in the bathroom! This is a nice arrangement of flowers by the bathtub. Natural light through the window makes for some nice diffused light.
Our cat, Bobito, makes another appearance. Here, resting on the evap air con unit that we have for trying to keep cool in summer.
I like this photo. It is one of the later "early" photos where I was starting to get a better idea of what I was doing. Catching a bee in mid-flight amongst the flowers was tricky, especially as the camera wanted to focus on the background flowers.
