Fun!
I tend to be a bit more serious in the photos that I take, but every so often I'll take some photos just for the fun of it or trying out different ideas.
One of my first macro shots, taking the portrait of a happy LEGO® space man. Considering how small the subject is (about the size of the end of a AA battery), I'm pretty stoked with how this photo came out.
Our cat, Amber, really liked this box. No idea why, she'd just spend ages in it for some reason.
I may say that the cat is roaring - but we both know it is actually yawning. Silly cat.
I remember when this truck first came out, around 1986. Man I wanted this set so bad. There was no way we could afford it and I probably couldn't have built it right if I'd had it (I lie, I would totally have built it). I bought the set a few years ago since I had my own money. Seems kinda silly now to drop eighty odd dollars on a pile of plastic bits, but I still have it sitting on a shelf above my computer.
This is our '09 Christmas tree. Really got a chance to let the pretty lights shine with the good camera. A basic camera would have filled in the dim room with the flash and ruined the effect.
It seems like I take more photos of cloudy sunsets than anything else.
Hee hee, our indoor cat likes to be inside, but he'll still try and play with Amber, who lives outside. And she likes to tease him...
This was a basic photo of some flowers in a vase, but I spruced it up by playing around with the colours. I really like how this came out.
